Come Advocate for Minnesota Students & Staff Counseling
It is time to register for the 2026 Minnesota School Counselor Association Day on the Hill!
We hope you will join in advocating for Minnesota students and School Counseling on
Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the State Capitol.

This is a great opportunity for you to join with other school counselors from across the state to talk with our legislators and share our stories, express our priorities and request their support.

Here is the tentative agenda for the day: 2026 DOH Agenda

Please register by Monday, February 2nd using the 2026 MSCA Day on the Hill Registration Form.  We will attempt to schedule meetings with your area representatives and/or senators.  If you can't RSVP by Feb 2, that is OK! We may not have enough time to set up a meeting with your legislator but please RSVP and come anyway.

If this is your first time attending, have no fear!  We will follow up and send you a Day on the Hill 2026 detailed information document that includes all you need to know to prepare. We will also hold a preparation workshop on Tuesday, February 10th at 2:00 pm to share tips and strategies with you. All DOH registrants will be provided with the Zoom login information by Tuesday, February 3rd. If you cannot attend this preparation workshop, don't worry! We will record the Zoom and send it to all registrants, and we will also do a mini-prep the morning of DOH at Ed MN from 8-9 am.

Here are the current priorities for this year's Day on the Hill: 2026 Legislative Priorities (most recent draft updated 1/5/26). These will be updated as we approach DOH.

We have collective strength in numbers!  Let's plan for a large turn-out this year! If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at the emails below.

Sincerely,

Carolyn Berger & Debbie Nelson- MSCA Advocacy Co-Chairs
